Privacy notice
We collect as little as possible and never ask for health information. Our tools run in your browser and send nothing to us.
Who we are
HairCortisolTest.com is published by Hix Digital Ltd, which is the data controller for this website. Contact us at hello@haircortisoltest.com.
What we collect
- Analytics. If enabled, Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, records your visit: the pages you view, the links you follow to test providers, an approximate location from your IP address, and your device and browser type.
- Server logs. Like any website, our server records requests (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working. Logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us we keep your message to reply and to fix any issue you raise.
Our tools
The test finder, the hair sample calculator and the unit converter run entirely in your browser. What you enter is not sent to us or stored.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, the pages you view and basic details about your device. We use it to work out which pages are useful, not to identify you, and not for advertising.
In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland we ask first, and Analytics stores nothing until you say yes. Elsewhere it runs unless you decline. Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we do not ask again.
We set no cookies of our own.
Links to test providers
Links to Cortigenix include tags (for example utm_source=haircortisoltest) so Cortigenix can see that you came from this site. They do not carry any personal information. Once you leave this site, the provider's own privacy policy applies.
Third parties
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are provided by Google, which processes the data on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK and EU under its standard contractual clauses. Our fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
